About Us
The Mulgrave Cricket Club, established in 1905, is a proud member of the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) and the Cricket Southern Bayside (ISEC) leagues. We strive to provide opportunities for everyone in our community to participate in healthy, safe, and inclusive activities within a fun, family-oriented environment. Run by dedicated volunteers, we offer a variety of structured programs for all ages and skill levels.
Mulgrave Cricket Club aims to be the community cricket club of choice. Our recently upgraded, state of the art club rooms offer exceptional facilities for players and members. These spaces are also available for private function hire.
While we don't currently field a standalone women's team, we're actively working towards it and are excited about the future of women's cricket at Mulgrave! We're currently accepting Expressions of Interest from women of all skill levels who are interested in playing. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of building something special. If you're passionate about cricket and want to join us on this journey, we encourage you to get in touch – we'd love to hear from you!
We are always looking for new players of all backgrounds and skill levels to come down and have a go. So if you are interested in becoming a member of the club, you can register by clicking here, or if you have any questions please email us at secretary@mulgravecricketclub.com.au
Senior Cricket
Mulgrave has a strong and successful senior program, with our 1st XI competing in the prestigious ECA Wright Shield. We hold the record for the most consecutive premierships at Dunstan Shield level (the ECA's highest grade), achieved from 2002/03 to 2006/07.
We have five men's teams in the ECA, catering to various levels of commitment and experience:
- Two-day turf wicket grades (1st and 2nd XI)
- Two-day synthetic grade (3rd XI)
- One-day synthetic grades (4th XI and 5th XI)
- One-day turf grade - Sunday (5th XI)
New senior players are always welcome! We prioritise player development with a qualified senior coaching team running a comprehensive program for all members.
Our home ground at Mulgrave Reserve features a main turf oval and two synthetic ovals. We are proud to offer exceptional training and social facilities, with four large changerooms, a spacious social room, a kitchen and bar, and an undercover viewing area.
Senior Women's Cricket
Mulgrave Cricket Club is proud to launch its first-ever women’s cricket team, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to inclusivity and community sport.
Playing fortnightly 20-over matches on Sunday afternoons in the FTGDCA social competition, the team offers a welcoming environment for everyone—from complete beginners to seasoned players.
Whether you're picking up a bat for the first time or returning to the game, you'll find camaraderie, support, and plenty of fun on and off the field.
Join us as we build something special together and champion the growth of women’s cricket in our local community.
Junior Cricket
Mulgrave offers a thriving junior program for boys and girls of all ages and abilities, competing in the CSB (ISEC). Our pathways begin with Woolworths Cricket Blast (7-10 years old), a fun, clinic-style program held on Thursday evenings at Mulgrave Reserve during November/December and February. Register here for Cricket Blast.
Junior teams compete at the following age groups:
- Under 11s
- Under 13s
- Under 15s
- Under 17s
New junior players are always welcome! Our dedicated volunteer coaches, supported by our full-time senior coach, provide comprehensive development programs.
Like our senior program, junior cricket calls Mulgrave Reserve home, benefiting from the same excellent facilities. We are a proud community club, valuing our strong culture above all else. The junior program provides a crucial pathway for young players transitioning to senior cricket. You can register by clicking here, or if you have any questions please contact secretary@mulgravecricketclub.com.au
